1. Service Description

Galley is an AI-powered fact-checking tool that integrates with Google Docs. It analyzes text for factual claims, verifies them against web sources, and provides verdicts to assist journalists and editors in their editorial process.

2. Use of the Service

Galley is designed to assist with fact-checking, not replace human editorial judgment. Verdicts are AI-generated and may contain errors. Users are responsible for independently verifying information before publication.

3. Accounts and Access

Access to Galley requires an invitation from your organization's team lead or system administrator. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Access may be revoked at any time by your team lead or administrator.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service, including but not limited to: attempting to access other organizations' data, reverse-engineering the system, or using the service for any unlawful purpose.

5. Data and Content

Document text submitted for fact-checking is processed by AI models and web search APIs. Claim results and run history are stored in your organization's workspace. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any fact-checking verdicts or source citations.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Galley or its operators be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service, including but not limited to damages from reliance on fact-checking results.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
